Fast and reversible staining, very good compatible with mass spectrometry.
Used also for storing of IPG-Strips when no cooling is available.
We suggest to order:
Roti-White from Carl Roth Karlsruhe Germany

Solutions:
Solution a) 10 mL Roti-White I (10xconc) + 90 mL H2O dist.
Solution b) 10 mL Roti-White II (10xconc) + 90 mL H2O dist.
Solution c)  5 mL Roti-White I (10xconc) + 495 mL H2O dist.
Solution d) 50 mM EDTA-Sodium salt + 25 mM TRIS (adjust pH to 8.3 with TRIS)

Staining:
Rinse 1 x in H2O dist.
Shake the strips for 15 min in a)
Rinse 1 x in H2O dist.
Shake the strips for ~3-4 min in b)
(until the gel is white, the bands stay clear)

Storing:
Rinse 1 x in H2O dist.
Shake the strips in 150 mL c) for ~2 x 5 min (until you see white flocculation)

Melt the strips in plastic bags together with 2-3 mL c)

Mobilisation:
Shake the strips in d) ~5 min (until the negative bands are nearly not anymore visible)
