Air bubble(s) underneath the IPG-strip

Air is a very bad conductor of electric current.
The IPG-strips should not have any bubbles underneath themselves.

When the cathodal buffer is floated into the chamber, already holding the cassettes, then some air-bubbles could be caught between the strip and the second dimension gel.
Better is to pre-float the single cassettes with a pipette before the cathodal buffer is filled in

A long air bubbles is sitting between the IPG-strip and the second dimension gel

Pre-floating of the cassettes prevent catching air bubbles
